Assets School K-8 Principal Blog

Happy Holidays 2016

Assets has been in the holiday and winter spirit lately!  Thanks to Student Senate, we had a week full of wintery themed dress-up days. Over the past couple days, we’ve had one of our middle school PBL groups (Style Aisle) organize a winter fashion show for students and faculty. Ms. King’s homeroom conducted a Candygram sale to raise money for the middle school dance. They sold over 800 Candygrams! That’s a lot of aloha.

In homeroom and enrichments, I’ve seen students making candles, holiday crafts, latkes, and designing professional-looking cookies. At assembly today, not only did we have the fashion show, but Class 42 performed the 12 Days of Christmas – Hawaiian Style and Class 56 performed Hawaiian Winter Wonderland. The teachers even got in the performing mood with their own rendition of the Hawaiian 12 Days of Christmas.

For those of you who are traveling this season, we wish you safe travels. And from Assets School and my family to yours, I hope you have a joyful and restful Winter Break.

Please enjoy the photos below from the past couple days.
